The semi-casual style is a proposition for men who like to look fashionable and stylish but don't resign from comfort. Creating such a styling requires, however, some knowledge of the subject. That's why we would like to give you some tips. Use them or get inspired by them and create your own semi-casual outfit.

What are semi-casual stylings?
Stylish, comfortable and with men’s character – these words describe the semi-casual style. Clothes and outfits inspired by it work well every day, as well as during official meetings where an elegant outfit consisting of a white shirt, a tie and a suit is not obligatory. Semi-casual stylings are perfect for a party with friends, a date, a walk. They are suitable at work, at school, on a birthday party, barbeque or a family celebration (a baptism or wedding still require a suit though).

Clothes fitting into this style are universal and include: navy blue jeans, chino trousers, textile trousers, a classic jumper with a scoop or V-neckline, a zip jumper with a shawl collar, plain and patterned shirt, a knitwear blazer, a basic T-shirt, low shoes or even light plismolls. In case of casual clothes, it’s most important for them to be high-quality and skilfully matched. The key to creating a semi-casual styling is completing a set between streetwear style and ultra elegant.

Some trendy propositions
If you want to dress up in semi-casual style or a particular situation requires it, you can use some of our propositions. Below, you can find some ready sets that are perfect to work, to an important meeting or a date:

  1. Camel chinos set with a black plain shirt and a navy blue V-neck overhead jumper. Complete the look with a brown belt and leather or suede low shoes – a bit darker than the trousers.
  2. Navy blue jeans mixed with a white shirt and a beige overhead jumper. Add brown shoes to the look (if they have a high upper, roll up the trouser leg), you can also use a leather belt and a knitwear blazer in the shade of brown.
  3. Light creamy textile trousers or chinos, a sky blue plain shirt or in a Vichy check, a navy blue knitwear blazer, brown shoes and a belt.

If you go out with friends to a pub or visit your parents, you can choose a lighter semi-casual version:

  1. Graphite knitwear trousers, a grey overhead jumper and a printed T-shirt. Add comfy brown suede shoes and don’t forget about the belt – it’s a perfect outfit for a Sunday dinner at mom’s place.
  2. Match classic navy blue jeans with a checked shirt in a random colour, e.g. blue or red. For getting a laid-back look, roll up the sleeves and put colourful socks on which will be slightly visible. You can also choose snow-white plimsolls – in such an outfit you will feel comfortable during long hours of shopping in a mall or during a night out with friends.
  3. To jeans, put on a blue shirt and a zip jumper with a shawl collar made from thick wool. Add navy blue or brown shoes (they can have a high upper). If it’s cold, complete the look with a biker jacket or a classic denim one. In such an outfit all girls will be yours!

Who can look good in semi-casual style?
The semi-casual style fits to every man – a teenager, as well as to much older gents. Such outfits are a good alternative for everyone who appreciates comfort and wants to look trendy and stylish. The situation often requires it, e.g. end of the school year, a date or a casual dinner in a restaurant. The workplace dress code requires something more than plimsolls, cargo trousers and a longsleeve. However, sometimes a suit and a white shirt aren’t obligatory.
