Rob Roy
It’s another fine men’s mixture. The secret of this cocktail lies in the simple, yet strong mixture of specific ingredients.
This cool drink has been created by one of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel bartenders on Manhattan in 1984.
The recipe of this drink is popular worldwide and the reason for its creation was the Broadway premiere. Its main character was the 17th century Scottish people’s hero – Rob Roy MacGregor. The cocktail was made in his honour on the basis of Scotch whisky. You’ve got to try it!
Ingredients:
- 40 ml whisky
- 20 ml sweet vermouth (e.g. Martini Rosso)
- Angostura dash
Preparation:
Pour all ingredients in a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Use the stirrer. Next, pour the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass. Add a cherry and a lemon twist.
